Voyage cancelled after Bremerhaven collision
TUI Cruises has cancelled Mein Schiff 3’s planned 20-night Canary Islands voyage following a collision in Bremerhaven, Germany, on October 25, 2026. The cruise line told Cruise Hive that the ship struck two container vessels while leaving port. No injuries were reported.
Bremen Police said a gust of wind caused Mein Schiff 3 to drift into the two moored ships. Damage to the cruise vessel affected its lifeboats, associated cranes and hull. TUI said the repairs cannot be completed while sailing and require shipyard work.
Future sailings remain under assessment
Mein Schiff 3 remains in Bremerhaven while evaluations continue. The maritime safety authority has imposed a sailing ban on all three vessels involved, according to Bremen Police. TUI said it will contact booked guests once it can determine whether subsequent Mein Schiff 3 voyages will also be affected.
