AIDAmar world cruise

Cruise Industry News reports that AIDA plans to send AIDAmar from Warnemünde on November 3, 2028, for the company’s first world cruise from the port. The voyage is scheduled to finish in Hamburg on March 25, 2029. During the 142-day itinerary, the ship is due to visit 51 ports across 19 countries and five continents, cross the equator twice and pass the date line.

Antarctic season from Punta Arenas

Travel Daily News reports that Antarctica21 has opened bookings for 47 departures in its 2028-29 season, its largest single-season schedule. All itineraries are planned to begin and end in Punta Arenas, Chile, using the Magellan Explorer and Magellan Discoverer.

Under Antarctica21’s air-cruise format, passengers fly directly to Antarctica in approximately two hours and explore the Antarctic Peninsula by expedition ship. The company presents this as an alternative to the two-day Drake Passage crossing.
