FAQ error corrected
Royal Caribbean confirmed to Cruise Hive that automatic gratuities on beverages, drinks packages, specialty restaurants and dining packages remain at 18%. Its FAQ had briefly shown a 20% charge for those purchases. The company said it fixed the mistake; spa and salon services continue to carry a 20% gratuity.
The corrected policy says passengers can alter or remove gratuities. Cruise Hive reported that changes can be requested from Guest Relations aboard the ship before the final morning of the voyage.

In a separate development, Seatrade Cruise News reported that Quantum of the Seas and Anthem of the Seas are operating a range of voyages from Brisbane and Sydney as part of Royal Caribbean’s two-ship Australasian season.
