Fender removes premium front-standing sections

Sam Fender says his 2027 UK stadium tour will no longer divide standing audiences into premium front sections and general admission. Following criticism of the proposed arrangement, NME reported that all standing tickets will have a base price of £85. Seats are set at £95, £75 and £55.

Fender said the prices do not include venue and ticketing fees or a separate £1 contribution to the LIVE Trust, which supports UK grassroots music. The itinerary begins with two Newcastle dates at St James’ Park, followed by stops in Cardiff, London, Dublin, Edinburgh and Manchester. Wunderhorse are due to support the UK stadium shows.

NME said the UK presale is scheduled for 9:30am on Wednesday, October 28, with general sales beginning at 9:30am on Friday, October 30. Access to the presale is linked to qualifying preorders of Fender’s forthcoming fourth album.

Macklemore plans three benefit concerts

Macklemore played a 17-song concert at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre on October 22. Billboard reported that it was his first show since his opening run on Ed Sheeran’s tour ended. Promoters and venues removed Macklemore from the remaining dates amid criticism of statements and imagery used in his earlier performances; Sheeran said he did not make that decision.

Billboard said Macklemore’s Free Palestine Tour includes sold-out concerts in Dublin on October 26, Paris on October 29 and London on October 30. Proceeds are set to go to three organisations supporting Palestinians: the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, Gaza Soup Kitchen and Medical Aid for Palestinians.
