Woman critical, three men seriously hurt in Loganholme shooting
Four people remain in hospital
A 19-year-old woman is in critical condition and three men are seriously injured following a drive-by shooting outside a boxing event in Loganholme, south of Brisbane, according to ABC Pacific and 1News NZ. The three men, aged 27, 37 and 38, were reported to be in serious but stable condition.
Shots were fired outside Fitzy’s Hotel shortly after 8pm on Saturday while a Logan City Titles boxing meet was taking place, 1News NZ reported. Police said the vehicle involved was seen leaving the scene. Bullet holes were visible on the outside of the building, according to the outlet.
Police seek information
Police said they did not believe there was an ongoing threat to the public. They appealed for information as the search for the shooter continued.
Logan City Titles said in a Sunday statement that its team was heartbroken and thinking of the victims and everyone affected. Logan mayor Jon Raven said people who attended the venue, particularly children, would be processing trauma and urged the community to support them.
