What passengers may see
Carnival Cruise Line has begun adding “Crew Love” stickers to the Sail & Sign cards of some passengers who prepaid gratuities. The labels say, “I pre-paid my gratuities.” Cruise Radio and Cruise Hive also report that participating passengers receive a thank-you note in their stateroom.
Pilot remains limited
In a statement to Cruise Radio, Carnival described the stickers and notes as a way to alert crew members that a passenger prepaid gratuities and to recognize those passengers. The company said the initiative forms part of a broader pilot whose feedback it is evaluating. Cruise Radio reports that the materials have appeared on selected ships, but Carnival has not disclosed the pilot’s other components or confirmed a fleet-wide expansion.
Carnival currently lists a daily gratuity of $17 for each passenger in a standard stateroom and $19 for each passenger in a suite. Passengers can pay before sailing or have the charge added to their onboard account during the cruise.
