Late demand lifts outlook
Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings raised its full-year guidance as close-in bookings helped third-quarter performance surpass company expectations, according to Seatrade Cruise News and Cruise Industry News. Cruise Industry News reported that some customers who had postponed summer holidays later booked cruises.
Seatrade Cruise News said the company’s bookings for the coming 12 months had improved modestly, although they remained below its preferred range. Skift reported that bookings for the second half of 2027 matched the previous year’s level at higher prices.
Further savings planned
Cruise Industry News reported that the company expects another $100 million from run-rate savings and cash benefits. Changes involving air travel for guests and crew, along with adjustments to promotional offers, are among the measures. The gains are expected to be introduced progressively through 2028.
