South Korean police identified seven suspects in an alleged cybercrime operation, BleepingComputer reported. Police allege the operation penetrated more than 90 organisations in South Korea and obtained 8.2 million data records.

According to BleepingComputer, the ARTEX AI penetration-testing framework was deployed in most of the alleged attacks.

Austin school district disclosure

In a separate incident, Austin Independent School District notified employees that their data had been compromised, KXAN reported. The district said the breach occurred in August and involved a software platform it uses to administer personnel records and related documents.
