Traffic disruption
Roads around St Saviour’s Hill have been closed following a gas leak, BBC Jersey reported. Drivers have been urged to use other routes while the leak is examined.
The diversions differ by direction. According to the Jersey Evening Post, vehicles approaching downhill from Five Oaks are being sent along Bagatelle Road, while Chasse Brunette is the alternative route for motorists going uphill.
Overnight repair plan
Island Energy plans to carry out repairs overnight and expects St Saviour’s Hill to reopen the following day, the Jersey Evening Post reported. The reopening remains provisional and the timing may change.
