New arrest and $150,000 bond

A second man has been arrested in connection with the 2024 shooting that killed Yasser Paz, 18, outside Bucanas Night Club in Nashville and seriously injured another person. WTVF NewsChannel 5 reported that police detained a man wanted in the case during a traffic stop prompted by loud music.

WSMV reported that arrest papers dated October 28 identify the suspect as Kevin Garcia-Soto, 20. He is charged with criminal homicide and attempted criminal homicide. Court documents put his bond at $150,000.

Allegations against both defendants

Police allege that Garcia-Soto was among several men who left a vehicle and fired at a group, killing Paz and seriously injuring another person. According to WSMV, detectives examined surveillance video and cellphone data, spoke with witnesses and collected evidence during the investigation.

Metro Nashville Police arrested Edgar Garcia-Soto in May over his alleged role in the same shooting. Police said he was 17 when the attack occurred. His juvenile case includes a homicide allegation and three separate attempted-homicide counts, WSMV reported. The reports do not state how either defendant has responded to the allegations.
