Airport lounge planned for early 2027
London City Airport’s first lounge is expected to open in early 2027 under the name 09:LDN Suite. TRAICY reports that Aspire Pre-Flight Hospitality, part of Swissport International, announced the name of the planned facility. Travellers should note that the lounge is not yet open.
Luxair introduces E195-E2 on selected flights
Luxair began operating Embraer E195-E2 aircraft between Luxembourg and London City on 5 October 2026, according to Aeroroutes. The aircraft replaced Dash 8-Q400 equipment on selected services.
For the Northern winter 2026/27 season, Luxair operates up to 30 flights a week on the route. Aeroroutes lists E195-E2 services on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so passengers may still encounter other aircraft on flights scheduled for different days.
