Belgorod authorities report four deaths

Three people were killed and 13 injured in an overnight drone attack on Belgorod city, local authorities said in an account published by Cyprus Mail. The authorities attributed that attack to Ukraine. The casualty figures and attribution were not independently verified.

Later on Sunday, regional authorities reported that a drone hit a nearby village, killing one person and wounding another. The available Cyprus Mail report does not say whom the authorities held responsible for the second strike.

Farm worker reported killed in Sumy

A farm worker was killed and four other people were injured, according to Ukrinform. The reported toll and attribution have not been independently verified.

Civilian toll in Ukraine

OHCHR civilian casualty monitoring, published by the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine, recorded a verified minimum of 17,605 civilians killed and 55,846 injured across Ukraine between February 24, 2022, and September 30, 2026. These cumulative figures predate the weekend attacks. OHCHR says the actual toll is likely higher because some reports, particularly from areas inaccessible to monitors, cannot be independently verified; totals may also change as earlier incidents are verified.
