Deaths reported in Sanaa and Hodeida

Al-Masirah said Saudi-led forces struck Sanaa, the surrounding governorate and Hodeida on Saturday, killing at least 16 people. The Houthi channel also reported about 20 strikes on Mocha, while Yemen Online separately reported renewed coalition airstrikes across the coastal city.

According to Al-Masirah, one strike on a house in Sanaa killed at least four people. It said six women and a child died when accommodation used by cement factory workers was hit in Sanaa governorate. The channel attributed another five deaths to a strike on a family home in Hodeida’s Al-Tuhayta district.

IRNA reported that the Foreign Ministry of the Yemeni authorities in Sanaa said the killings would not deter Yemenis from seeking their rights.

Houthis claim attacks in Saudi Arabia and Aden

Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said the group attacked airports in Riyadh, Dammam and Najran, along with an airbase at Khamis Mushait. He also listed an Aramco facility in Yanbu, the Rabigh refinery, crude-oil pumping stations and the East-West Pipeline as targets. Dawn said Saudi authorities had not immediately confirmed those reported strikes.

Yemen’s Interior Ministry told Saba that three Houthi ballistic missiles hit coast guard sites in Aden, including the headquarters and a building in Tawahi. Saree claimed attacks on a camp and naval base in the city and alleged that Saudi officers were overseeing mobilisation there.

Saudi authorities report interceptions

The Saudi-led coalition said it intercepted and destroyed two Houthi ballistic missiles heading toward Taif and Yanbu. Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defence Agency briefly issued safety warnings for Taif, Yanbu, Jeddah and Makkah before saying the danger had passed.

The agency said it responded to debris falling in the Makkah and Madina regions following the interceptions. It reported that some fragments landed in Wadi Mughamas outside Makkah.
