Vietnam petrol reduction exceeds 2,100 dong
The combined effect of Vietnam’s latest fuel-price adjustment and additional promotional discounts has cut the domestic E10 petrol price by more than 2,100 dong per litre, Thanh Nien reported. The final price is now below 25,000 dong per litre.
UEDCL reports progress on Greater Kabale connections
Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited says it has dealt with every electricity connection request in Greater Kabale that remained from 2025. Lovinsa Nshemereirwe, the company’s Kabale station manager, said the distributor had added 950 customers during 2026, UBC Uganda Feed reported.
Nshemereirwe put UEDCL’s customer base in Greater Kabale at roughly 19,000. She also said 2,537 customers had been connected since the company assumed distribution operations from Umeme in March 2025.
The distributor is still handling 400 connection requests submitted during 2026. Nshemereirwe said it intends to finish those connections before Christmas. She gave the operational update while participating in a blood-donation campaign in Kabale.
