Staff temporarily takes charge

Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany was taken to hospital after losing consciousness while attending a reserve-team training session on Friday, Senego reported, citing a club statement. Bayern said he was undergoing extensive examinations and would remain under medical supervision.

La Nouvelle Tribune reported that Bayern described Kompany’s condition as stable. The club has not disclosed the cause of the incident or indicated when he may return, according to Senego.

Bayern’s coaching staff will temporarily oversee training and match-day operations until further notice, Senego reported.
