Petero Nzukira – UTABUSYA ABWITA UBUMERA

About the event

Those who have never had to grind hard grain think it is an easy task. This proverb in Kinyarwanda reminds us of a simple and universal truth: you never truly understand the value of work until you have done it yourself. Through these words, we are invited to recognize the hidden effort behind every achievement: the patience, perseverance, and energy it requires. To celebrate the association's 32nd anniversary, Ballet Inyange returns with its major biennial performance, this time inspired by the famous Rwandan folktale Petero Nzukira, reimagined by a new generation overflowing with innovative ideas and breathtaking imagination. In a new style and an unprecedented artistic approach, Ballet Inyange takes on a bold challenge and invites you to discover a traditional Rwandan performance featuring live singing, choreography that is both graceful and powerful, drums resonating throughout the hall, and the Intore warrior dance, which is sure to leave you amazed. This performance is the result of a tradition passed down over 32 years. Behind every gesture, every movement, and every note lie hours of preparation, moments of exhaustion, but above all, passion. So, as we enter this world, let us remember: nothing beautiful is born without effort. Do not miss this unique opportunity to celebrate Rwandan culture with us!
